2005 Intuition Reserve Columbia Valley

Winemaker notes: (Hold and cellar for 1-15 yrs}

Deep dark color and showing black currant, blackberries black cherries, and plums, vanilla toast in the nose. Velvety upon first entry with well-balanced fruit, oak, and tannins. Big full-bodied structure- will age and soften nicely. Lingering finish with cassis and toasty notes.

Drinking now would require decanting for a couple of hours to make the wine show at its best at this young stage. Decanting reveals additional layers of cedar, cigar box, mint, dark chocolate, some perfume and hints of violet. Vibrant, youthful, and racy now, it will develop additional complexity with bottle ageing.
