2009 Viognier

Winemaker Notes:

Our highest-end white wine is always a treat! We strive to protect the finicky fermentation esters and delicate white grape aromas by very intense intense protection methods -even as early as the pressing of the grapes themselves!  Barrel fermented and aged.  Luscious aromatics of ripe fruits, white flowers, candied spices, and delicate vanilla notes on the nose and palate. Creamy mouthfeel from the toasty oak yet crisp rounds off the profile from the integrated acids.  A perfect sipping or food pairing wine!  Should age nicely for 2-3 years.

2007 Calico Red

Our most concentrated Calico Red to date, from the excellent 2007 vintage. Dark Syrah elements complimented by the earthy Cabernet Sauvignon are rounded out with fleshy Merlot and fresh, bright Zinfandel. A touch of new French oak "thickens the plot" and makes this a very serious red table wine. Distinctly WA and somewhat "old world" and BLV styled, we are proud to call this our own.  Enjoy! Pair with BBQ, spicy foods, pizza or steak!

Depth and darkness are first impressions of this wine. Notes of highly concentrated dark fruits and vanilla mingles with some smoke, meat and complex perfumy undertones. Extremely rich, layered and almost chewy the palate gives away brighter hints of cherries while some chocolate blends in for a long lasting expansive finish. A powerful balanced Syrah for lovers of just that.

2007 Pinot Noir Couse Creek Vineyard

The 2007 Pinot Noir is a wine that is difficult to compare to other domestic Pinots. The cherry and cranberry fruit presents itself as part of a nicely balanced package with bright, refreshing acidity; subtle, well-integrated oak, medium body, and surprisingly smooth, long finish. The balance of fruit and acidity seems somewhat more reminiscent of Burgundy than of other Oregon Pinots. This wine will match well with a wide variety of dishes, from medium rare rib roast to your favorite stew, you may be surprised to see how versatile a Pinot like this one can be.

Winemaker notes:
Ripe dark fruit dominates this full throttle nose with sweet black cherries and blackberries. As it opens spice, earth, smoke and meat join the crowd of enticing flavors.
