Bombs away, again!
A couple of years ago, we ran a feature on a great little value wine out of Walla Walla called ‘Fruit Bomb’. This fruit driven (obviously} gem is bursting with blackberry, loganberry and black currant, with just a dash of dark chocolate. Easy drinking and big enough to satisfy those cravings for big wines on dark and stormy nights. Is it graceful and elegant? No, but if you were calling a wine a ‘Fruit Bomb’ I would hope that it wasn’t. I call it a guilty pleasure wine. Sort of like hiding the fact that you still listen to cassettes of Cheap Trick in your hybrid. A whimsical label and screw cap round out the package. A delicious bottle of wine for a deliciously low price.
